
Ivica Fonti is currently singing solo ( ONE MAN BAND) with a keyboard combined with professionally self-produced studio arrangements. He is able to sing in Croatian, Bosnian, Italian, Spanish/ Latin American and English.

With Ivica’s background also in radio broadcasting on many Croatian programs throughout Melbourne, he can also do your entire Master of Ceremonies request in these or a combination of these languages. He is performing at dinner dances, weddings, and special occasions in the Croatian community of Melbourne Australia.

He started his musical career at the early age of 5, learning the Piano accordion, at the age of 10 Ivica performed for the 10th of April celebrations for the Croatian community at the Melbourne Town Hall.

He stunned the audience and was from then on a popular figure in the cultural and musical aspects of the Croatian community in Melbourne Australia. After this performance, with the encouragement of Music Teacher Prof.Marijan Brajsa, Ivica joined his first Croatian band in Melbourne, “MAKADAMI”.

Turning 16 years of age Ivica then joined a second band “IMOTSKI” which proved to be one of the most popular Croatian bands in the Croatian community of Melbourne Australia. “IMOTSKI” then went on to back popular Croatian Singers from Croatia, of the likes of Oliver Dragojevic,Ivo Pattiera,Zoran Jasek, Dani Marsan, Duka Caic, Ivo Fabijan ,Meri Cetinic ,Vice Vukov, Muriz Kurudzija, Nedzad Imamovic, and many of the performers and stars from Croatia, Bosnia and Hercegovina.
After experiencing performances with Croatian Stars, Ivica recorded his first Album “Majko Slusaj Ovu Pjesmu” which was and still is a major hit in Australia. Ivica then went on to record a second album titled “PJESMA ILOKU” where he compiled a number of songs from different songwriters like Julija Njikos, Reuf Fekovic, and with the help of Australian Musician Michael Roper recorded a Croatian Album with an Australian feel, which was also a great hit.

In 1999 Ivica compiled some songs together and some covers and recorded
the album “GRAD HEROJ” in conjunction with the then Croatian Radio Vukovar Melbourne on 3cr – AM, all the monies from the sales of this album went to helping unfortunate children.
Injured or orphaned during the war in Croatia, hence the patriotic nature of the songs.
He was also the Lead vocalist of the most popular Croatian Band in Melbourne at the time “KAPTOL”.
